KARACHI, Nov 20: Six ships, carrying containers and to load ethanol and cement, are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where 11 ships, including two bulk carriers, Christina and Baltimor, berthed on Thursday.

They are: Hansa Liberty, OEL Transworld, Hyundai Emperor, H&H Tide, X-Press Khyber, T S Xingang and Y M Inception, with containers, Galaxy Ace, to unload vehicles, and Splendour to unload high-speed diesel.

Sailing was also active as 10 vessels, including Deja Bhum, Ince Inebolu, Diler-4, Montania, APL Yokohama, Caribbean Carrier-1, Serpentine and TS Xingan departed on Thursday while Y M Inception, Hansa Liberty, Red Sea Spirit, Splendour, Golden Arrow-2, Oel Transworld, Oriental Moon and Hadrian are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 0.103m tons, comprising 50, 180 tons of export tonnage, including 7,503 tons of rice and 52,732 tons of import tonnage, was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Grace-A, with jet oil, Chemway Arrow, to load ethanol, Bavaria Express, with containers, Lucky Arrow, Hyun Jin KS-3 and Zabrjad to load 15,000, 8,000 and 6,300 tons of cement, respectively.
