KHANEWAL, Nov 16: The engine of the 16-Down Karachi Express derailed at Khanewal Junction at 1.30am on Sunday.

Sources said that after arrival of the Karachi-bound train at Khanewal station at 1.15 am, the engine was moved to the locoshed for a routine checking. On its way back, the engine derailed near the signal cabin of the Khanewal yard.
