Man killed in shootout

SUKKUR, Sept 3: Ghotki police raided residences of chieftains of Lund and Bozdar tribes on Wednesday and arrested five suspects after a man was killed in exchange of fire between the tribesmen belonging to the two tribes in Gehno Loond village on Wednesday.

Reports reaching here said that a group of armed men reportedly belonging to Bozdar tribe opened fire on Lund tribesmen who returned fire and in the ensuing exchange of fire, one Hassan Ali Lund suffered serious wounds. He was moved to Mirpur Mathelo Civil Hospital where he died.

Toto Lund, son of the deceased, registered a case at the area’s police station against 36 Bozdar tribesmen including Raees, Aslam and Yousuf.
