KARACHI, Sept 3: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Javed Hanif, who holds the charge of Controller-General of Prices, has asked all city government officials with magisterial powers to show no leniency to profiteers and ensure that all essential items mentioned in the CDGK list are available to consumers at the government-prescribed rates.

The DCO visited various markets in the city along with some magistrates on Wednesday and monitored the ongoing price control exercise aimed to check profiteering. He checked prices at different outlets, and said that he would pay more such visits off and on.—APP
