Govt asked to pay heed to IT sector

RAWALPINDI, July 25: Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Abdul Rauf Chaudhry has urged the government to pay heed towards making investment in information technology (IT) sector.

Commenting on the importance of IT, he said there was a need to divert the energies of the youth and skilled manpower towards IT so that export volume could be increased.

He urged the government to pay attention towards education and training of the youth. He observed that skillful manpower was available in this sector, adding that 60 per cent population was under 25 years of age and there was need to invest in them.

He added that if technical training was provided to the youth, it would bring a revolution in information technology sector.—PPI
