Tracker plates for bikes

DERA GHAZI KHAN, June 3: The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department will introduce number plates in which trackers will be fixed to curb the theft or snatching of motorcycles, Dawn learnt on Tuesday.

Excise and Taxation Officer Shafi Muhammad Gashkori told Dawn the scheme would be introduced in 16 districts of Punjab, including Dera Ghazi Khan.

SYMBOLS: The district returning officer has allotted symbols to the candidates taking part in byelection for PP-243 to be held on June 26. Five candidates are taking part in the byelection. Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa got lion, Mohammed Khan Leghari tonga, Haneefullah charpai, Hakeem Moeeenudin stag and Slahuddin Khosa fan.
