SWAT, May 20: A soldier was killed and another was injured when militants attacked a checkpost on Matta road in Kabal tehsil on Tuesday.
The injured soldier was taken to the Saidu Sharif hospital and his condition was said to be serious. After the attack, troops moved from the Kabal base to the village.
According to reports received from the area, security forces were firing mortar on militants’ hideouts.
