LAHORE, May 11: Chief Minister Sardar Dost Muhammad Khan Khosa says the neglected areas of the province will be provided with all basic facilities, including health and education.

He was addressing a public gathering at Ghar Maharaja, Jhang, on Sunday, says a handout.

The chief minister said the PML-N top leadership had directed that party workers and people should have an easy access to ministers.

He said: “Security shield is the need of those who worked against the sentiments of the people. The former rulers had purchased 16 bullet proof vehicles worth millions of rupees for their protection. Had Mr Pervaiz Elahi worked for the betterment of the people he would have no need to purchase such luxury cars?”

On this occasion, the chief minister announced establishment of a boys and a girls degree colleges in Ahmadpur Sial tehsil.

He said the deprivation of the people would be removed by setting up basic health units and constructing farm-to-market roads.

He said canal water would also be provided for irrigation and watercourses would be brick-lined.
