Karachi Port operations

KARACHI, May 9: Four ships carrying containers and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where eight ships, Bulk Arrow to load cement, Wales-2 to load clinkers, Tower Bridge, Rhonegorg, Ever Given and Hanjin Qingdao to unload and load containers, Bengal Orchid and Stolt Markland, oil tankers, were accommodated berths.

Sailing was also active as APL Jeddah, APL Dalian, Rhonenorg, Creek, River Pride, Sea Princess Fortune Victoria and Johar left the port. While six others, Ever Given, Hanjin Qingdao, Bengal Orchid, Adrekni, Nemtas-2, and Oriental Rose are due to depart on Saturday.

A total cargo of 0.154m tons comprising 31,187 tons of export including 4,646 and 8,000 tons of cement and clinkers and 0.123m tons of imports was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Lucky Arrow to load 11,500 tons of cement, Harmony, Oel Shreyas and Sima Pride with containers.
