GEORGETOWN (Guyana), April 28: Pakistan sent another stern warning to their opponents when they annihilated Americas Development XI by 293 runs in the International Under-15 Cricket Championship league match in Guyana.

After electing to bat first, Pakistan amassed a mammoth 416 for six off their 50 overs and then humbled Americas XI for 123 off 45 overs at Bourda.

The massive victory follows Pakistan’s mammoth 230-run win over the Netherlands on Saturday.

Mohammad Babar continued his prolific form, cracking 165 while Mohammad Naeem struck his second successive half-century (72). Mohammad Nawaz got an even 50 and Mohammad Qadaffi chipped in with 39. For Americas XI, Trevor Manoosingh captured four wickets for 103.

Opener Abhijit Joshi then battled for 70 but was the only batsman to reach double figures as Nawaz (3-17), Nakash Basharat (2-13) and Usman Qadir (2-20) wrecked the Americas XI’s innings.

Summarised scores:

PAKISTAN U-15 416 for 6 in 50 overs (Mohammad Babar 165, Mohammad Naeem 72, Mohammad Nawaz 50; Manoosingh 4-103); AMERICAS DEVELOPMENT XI 123 in 45 overs (Abhijit Joshi 70; Nawaz 3-17, Basharat 2-13, Qadir 2-20).—Agencies
