Border post dispute resolved

By Our Correspondent

KHAR, April 25: Border security forces of Pakistan and Afghanistan have returned to their respective outposts after successful talks held on Friday.

Sources said that soon after the talks between officials of the Frontier Corps and Afghan National Army, the Nawa Pass on the Pakistan-Afghan border was reopened to traffic.

Afghan troops had captured the posts after clashes with the Frontier Corps at Nawa Pass on Wednesday.

An official of the political administration who attended the meeting told Dawn that the two sides had resolved the dispute caused by some misunderstanding between the two forces.

The officials decided to ensure that such confrontations were avoided in future.
