Rights panels asked to help displaced people

By Our Correspondent

QUETTA, April 25: The Balo-ch National Front (BNF) has appealed to international human rights organisations and Unicef to help the displaced Baloch people living in Nasirabad, Jaffarabad, Hyderabad, Karachi and Rajanpur to return to their hometowns.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, BNF deputy organiser Jalil Ahmed Reki said the displaced people were facing immense hardship, living away from their homes without adequate food and medical facilities.

He alleged that excesses committed by security forces had forced about 8,000 Baloch families to leave their homes and seek shelter in other parts of the country.

Mr Reki said the BNF and the Baloch Students Organisation had decided to set up relief camps to provide food and medicine.
