Govt told to follow rules in postings

By Amanullah Kasi

QUETTA, April 24: A division bench of the Balochistan High Court on Thursday directed the provincial government to follow rules and regulations in transfers and postings of officers.

The bench comprising Chief Justice Amanullah Khan Yasinzai and Justice Akhtar Zaman Malghani issued the directive while discussing, a suo motu notice, on the deplorable condition of public sector hospitals.

Advocate General of Balochistan Salahuddin Mengal informed the court that transfers and postings of senior officers in the health department were being made in accordance with laws.

Additional secretary of the health department Shaukat Ali informed the court that a departmental survey had found that about 60 per cent laboratories in the city were functioning without legal registration and proper equipment.
