LARKANA, April 22: Sindh Minister for Law, Sports and Youth Affairs Ayaz Soomro said here on Tuesday that a bill for the upgradation of Chandka Medical College Larkana would be moved in Sindh Assembly soon.

The minister, who was visiting Larkana after being sworn-in as minister, told journalists that he was confident for the smooth passage of the bill. He said three more bills would also be tabled in the forthcoming session of the Sindh Assembly.

Spelling out the priorities of the present government, he said it was planning to absorb 100,000 educated youths in different departments. He said a lawyers housing colony would be established in Larkana.

He announced holding sports week from June 21 throughout the province and pledged that all the suspended flights from Karachi to Mohenjodaro would be resumed to facilitate the passengers.

Responding to a question he hinted at revival of Shahdadkot Textile Mill.

About previous government’s decision regarding creation of new districts in Sindh he said “we are studying the pros and cons of the issue and decide in line with the peoples’ wishes after seeking their opinion”.

He said efforts would be made to annex four dehs to Ratodero taluka which the previous government had forcibly transferred to Shikarpur district on political grounds.

Later, he offered fateha and placed floral wreaths on the graves of late Z.A. Bhutto, Ms Benazir Bhutto and his brothers.

He also inaugurated annual sports week in Chandka Medical College.
