Lahore Zone win Punjab U-15 Games

LAHORE, April 18: Lahore Zone with 1,005 points won the 1st Punjab Under-15 Games that concluded here at the Punjab Stadium on Friday.

Lahore claimed 18 gold, four silver and one bronze medal to win the games. Lahore’s Adnan Aslam from Government High School Burki, who claimed one gold in the 100 metres race, a silver in the 200 metres race and a bronze in shot putt was declared the best athlete.

Faisalabad Zone claimed the runners-up position with 935 points giving a close fight to Lahore with nine gold, silver and bronze medals each.

Sargodha with one gold, five silver and seven bronze medals and 469 points remained third followed by Multan (464 points), Bahawalpur (459 points), Rawalpindi (329 points), Gujranwala (236 points) and Dera Ghazi Khan (88 points).

Governor Punjab Khalid Maqbool was the chief guest on the occasion.
