Cop dies in accident


NAWABSHAH, April 17:A policeman was killed while two others seriously injured when a speedy vehicle hit them on the National Highway near Sakrand on Thursday.

Police constable Bashir Ahmed Abro died on the spot and two other policemen namely Irshad Mallah and Hussain Lashari were seriously injured when the vehicle hit them.

The injured were brought to the Nawabshah Medical College Hospital.

The driver of the vehicle managed to escape.

Meanwhile, a man, Mumtaz Chandio, lost his both legs after being run over by a goods train near Nawabshah railway station.

In another incident, Majnoon Jamali, 17, lost his hand while working on a machine in Bakhar Jamali village.—Correspondent
