KARACHI: Lawyers mourn riot victims

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, April 11: Lawyers at the City Courts and the Malir District Courts stayed away from the legal proceedings for the second consecutive day on Friday in response to the Sindh High Court Bar Association’s call for three-day mourning for the victims of Wednesday’s violence in the city.

Lawyers offered funeral prayers in absentia for the departed souls on the premises of all courts. The mourners demanded immediate arrest of all those involved in the violence that left many people dead and injured.
