Brown to visit US next week

By Our Special Correspondent

LONDON, April 11: British Prime Minister Gordon Brown will visit the US next week, his second trip to the country as prime minister.

Coming in the wake of serious threats to rich economies by recessionary trends and the global financial turmoil which seem to be testing the limits of capitalism the fourday visit of Mr Brown, starting April 16, is expected to focus the entire gamut of problems afflicting the market economies. The prime minister will visit Boston and the United Nations in New York and meet President Bush at the White House in Washington.
