MIRPURKHAS: Man dies in accident

MIRPURKHAS, April 10: A man was killed and five others were injured in a rickshaw-pickup collision near Samaro town on Wednesday.

According to details six people were injured when a pickup suddenly came on the road and collided with a rickshaw. The injured were taken to Samaro Taluka Hospital where 60-year old Ratno Kohli succumbed to his injuries.

The injured were identified Madho Kolhi, Thanwardas, Magho Kolhi and four years old Khemi Kolhi. Later Magho Kolhi was referred to Hyderabad hospital due to his serious condition.

Samaro police arrested the pickup driver.

APPEAL: A resident of Kot Mirs has appealed to Sindh Chief Minister, Governor, Chief Secretary and Secretary Health to take notice of failure to set up a medical board for conducting post-mortem of his son Surjeet.

Safedo Meo told journalists on Thursday that his son Surjeet, 45, father of six was brutally murdered and his body buried in a ditch at his poultry farm by killers about four months back. He said about a month back his murder was disclosed and a case lodged with Kot Ghulam Mohammad police but as yet his body had not been recovered therefore no post-mortem.
