‘Judges’ restoration high on agenda’

TAXILA, April 8: Senior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said here on Tuesday that restoration of deposed judges and relief to the masses from price hike was a priority on the agenda of the Pakistan Muslim League-N.

Speaking to party activists from Taxila and Wah Cantonment at his native village Chakri, the minister, who is also acting parliamentary leader of PML-N, said the party would fulfil all the promises made to the nation and that a comprehensive policy was in the process of making in this regard.

He said the government would provide relief to the people from price hike of daily commodities and ensure provision of wheat flour to them.

The PML-N, the minister said, would not pursue the politics of vendetta and introduce tolerance. He said the coalition government with the PPP was made keeping in view the larger national interest. He vowed to undo “all the unconstitutional steps” taken by President Musharraf. The PML-N will support the PPP-led government to complete its five-year term as the two parties shared common objectives like the restoration of the judges and ending the military role in politics, he said.—Correspondent
