DFA West triumph

HYDERABAD, April 5: Karachi’s District Football Association (DFA) West defeated DFA Central in the ninth All Pakistan Shaheed Umaid Ali Khan Qaimkhani football tournament at the Wapda Sports Complex here on Saturday.

DFA West netted one goal each in both the halves to win the match.

Despite their best efforts, DFA central could not score a goal.

In another match, DFA Malir beat DFA Sukkur 4-0. Malir scored three goals in the first half.

Earlier, on Friday, three matches were decided on penalty-kicks — Army defeated DFA Hyderabad 4-2; PWD outplayed SGP 3-2; Pak Artillery beat DFA Jacobabad 3-2.

In the fourth match of the day, DFA Mirpurkhas beat Hyderabad 2-1.
