Blasts damage Darra bridge

DARRA ADAMKHEL, April 2: A bridge on the Indus Highway in the Frontier Region of Darra Adamkhel was damaged by two explosions on Tuesday night, amid reports that Khasaddar Force personnel have abandoned their positions.

Local people said the powerful explosions in Zarghunkhel rocked the entire area. They said the road leading to the bridge had been closed.

Authorities on Wednesday made a diversion for light traffic.

The explosions also damaged some nearby houses and shops. Ten people received minor injuries.
