Sagar excels in basketball

KARACHI, April 1: Sagar Ghangro scored 24 points as Neighbourhood United Club defeated Rovers Basketball Club 77-38 in the second Inter-club basketball tournament at the AKU Sports Centre Gymnasium on Monday.

Shakir Hashim with 21 points supported Ghangro.

Bilal Jahangir (19) and Bilal Ahmed (11) shone for the Rovers Basketball Club.

In another match, Bounce Club trounced Ziauddin University 71-67.

Asad Ali and Lavish Rakhani scored 19 and 14 points respectively for the winners.

Tahir Ahmed tried to resist with individual score of 30 but in vain.—Agencies
