Two kidnapped

SHIKARPUR, April 1: Two men were kidnapped in separate incidents by criminals in the jurisdiction of Hamayoon police station on Tuesday morning.

Six armed men kidnapped Huzoor Bux Bharchund from village Mirdaho.

The other man, Afghan Pathan, who was driving an excavator, was kidnapped when going to Golo Daro area for some canal work.

Later, people of Mirdaho blocked the Shikarpur-Jacobabad road near Hamayoon to protest against the kidnappings.

Meanwhile, local wood merchants blocked Chak-Sukkur road here on Tuesday in protest against the Regional Forest Officer of Sukkur and incharge of a raid committee, Shamsuddin Khoso.

The wood merchants claimed that the official had demanded bribe from them and on their refusal the RFO raided their shops and trucks and imposed heavy fines on them.—Correspondent
