SHIKARPUR, April 1: Three bandits robbed a shopkeeper, Agha Shoaib, of Rs100,000 cash near Dakhan Naka in Garhi Yasin on Monday evening and escaped on a motorcycle.
Agha Shoaib was on going home after closing his shop in Shahi Bazaar when he was waylaid.
KILLED: One Ashique Ali Mahar who was reported missing from his house in Gosarji village last week was killed in an encounter between police and dacoits the other day.
Qambar police claimed that Ashique was a dacoit and killed in an encounter but Ashique’s father denied the claim that his son was a dacoit and demanded inquiry into the incident.
