KARACHI, March 16: Khalid Latif and Shadab Kabir will lead the two Karachi teams in the National One-day Cricket Championship, which starts from Thursday.
Khalid, skipper of the Pakistan Under-19 World Cup-winning side in 2004, will captain Karachi Whites, while former Test opener Shadab has been named to skipper Karachi Blues.
Karachi Whites, who are placed with Lahore Ravi, Faisalabad, National Bank and Pakistan Customs, meet Lahore Ravi in the first match of Group ‘C’ at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Thursday.
On the same day, Karachi Blues, who are Group ‘D’ alongside PIA, Rawalpindi, SSGC, Abbottabad and ZTBL, take on PIA here at the National Stadium.
The Karachi City Cricket Association on Sunday asked the following members of the Karachi Whites squad along with standbys to report to coach Jalaluddin for nets at the Customs Academy Ground at 3:00pm on Monday:
