TOBA TEK SINGH, March 16: Alleged outlaws and police exchanged fire on Saturday night but the robbers made their escape.

Police said the robbers snatched two motorcycles -- one from a schoolteacher and other from a milkman -- near Chak 383-JB Link Road. The victims informed Toba Sadar police which chased the outlaws. But the gangsters entered Mauza Lillan in Jhang district, and the Toba police asked the Jhang police to help them arrest the outlaws. Later, both district police besieged the area but the robbers fled taking advantage of the darkness of night. — Correspondent
