NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: Petrol price hike condemned

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, March 16: People and workers of several political parties took out a procession and staged demonstration in Tharushah on Sunday against increase in prices of petroleum products.

Activists of SUP, Citizen Ittehad and transporters bodies, led by Raza Behan, Ali Gohar Ujjan and Ghulam Mustafa Chandio, took out a procession from Ahl-i-Sunnat chowk in Tharushah.They were raising slogans against the price hike and rising cost of living.

They said the caretaker government had no authority, just two days before quitting the government, to increase the prices of petroleum products twice in a fortnight.

They termed the rise in the prices as an anti-people decision.

Meanwhile, activist of JUI-F took out a procession against price hike, lawlessness, and unemployment in Naushahro Feroze.

The protesters after marching on different roads of the town, reached outside the local press club where they staged a demonstration.

They condemned increase in prices of petroleum products and demanded its withdrawal.

They said that law and order situation in the district was at worst as motorbikes were being snatched and people were being robbed. They said several people were kidnapped in the district during past few months.

TEACHERS: Teachers of the NCHD-run schools took out a rally in Moro, demanding increase in their salary.
