LARKANA, March 16: The district working committee of the Pakistan People’s Party on Sunday decided to table no-trust motions against the district nazim, district naib nazim and taluka nazim of Larkana.

PPP leader and MPA-elect Ayaz Soomro who chaired the meeting said that honest officers would be appointed to initiate a probe into charges of corruption against the nazims. They would also be taken to courts, he added.

He advised the participants of the meeting to keep in touch with people and urged the Awam Dost the Panel nazims to attend the council sessions regularly. The absentees would be questioned, he said.

Mr Soomro said that the tenure of Chuadhries and Arbabs had come to and end and hinted at taking to task the officers who had been targeting PPP in past.

He said the PPP would abolish the new districts and initiate probe into the grant of Rs10 million meant for undertaking development works in the district, which had been siphoned off.
