KARACHI, Feb 1: Seven ships carrying, containers, steel and to load molasses are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side where eight ships, Bodar to load cement, Y.M. Star, St. Irene, Eric G. Gibson, Helen Rickmers Hansa Liberty and Orient Stride to unload and load containers.

Sailings were also active as nine ships, Hyundai Advance, Y.M. Star, Kapitan Byankin, Harmony, Johar, Emerald Coral, Wales, Al Asr and Gold Star departed on Friday, while St Irene, Bulk Arrow, Eric G. Gibson, London Bridge, Helen Rickmers, Oak Galaxy and Hansa Liberty are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 77,160 tons comprising 35,573 tons of export cargo including cement and rice and 41,587 tons of import tonnage was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Nordic Hansa to load molasses, Swat with crude oil, Bunga Delima, Emirates Gondwana, Sils and Jindal Kamla with containers and Vinaship Ocean with steel.
