GUJRAT, Jan 30: Two motorcyclists were crushed to death when a tractor-trolley fell on them on GT Road near GTS Chowk here on Wednesday.
Motorcyclists Muhammad Ameen of Chakori and Ali Raza of Bognan were trying to overtake the tractor-trolley when it fell on them because of its imbalance, killing them at the scene. The driver of the tractor fled.
SHOT DEAD: A man was shot dead by robbers when he tried to resist a robbery near Kasteela village of Sara-i-Alamgeer late on Tuesday.
Shabbir Ahmad of Sara-i-Alamgeer’s Farooq Town was going to his native village Bharot along with his son Rizwan and driver by a car when the robbers stopped them near Kasteela village and tried to deprive them of their belongings. Ahmed tried to resist and the robbers shoot him.
Ahmed’s son Rizwan told the police that the robbers also beat him and the driver before fleeing.
