Former PM blamed for wheat crisis
TAXILA, Jan 30: Pakistan People’s Party has blamed former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, his cabinet members and ex-chief minister of Punjab Pervaiz Elahi for the wheat crisis and demanded that cases should be lodged against them.
Speaking at a press conference here on Wednesday, PPP Rawalpindi district additional secretary information Zafar Iqbal Hashmi said Mr Aziz had deceived the nation and foreign donors by presenting incorrect figures of GDP growth and thus secured loans from international lending and monetary institutions.
