SARGODHA, Jan 28: The University of Sargodha VC Prof Dr Muhammad Akram Chaudhry has suspended Mr Badiuz Zaman, a lecturer of the Department of Economics, on charges of misconduct and helping out of the way a candidate appearing in the MA economics exam.

The candidate was the wife of Mr Shabbir Ahmad Gondal, an assistant professor of the same department. The VC also repatriated the services of Mr Shabbir Ahmad Gondal to his parent Education Department for concealing the fact that his wife was appearing in MA Economics Part-I annual examination 2007 (for which he was the examiner) and making his junior teacher to help his wife attempt the paper. The VC also formed an inquiry committee to look into the matter.

MEDICAL COLLEGE: The VC who broke earth for Sargodha Medical College project on Faisalabad Road on Monday said the varsity would announce 20 scholarships for MPhil students.
