Rs1.4m for VIP route signals

ISLAMABAD, Jan 28: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has allocated Rs14 million for improvement of street lights and traffic signals in the city.

Work on the project will start at the end of March.

According to sources, Rs1.4 million have been set aside for the maintenance of traffic signals on VIP route, while the upgradation of traffic signals at F-8 would cost Rs0.8 million.

The sources said Rs3.594 million had been earmarked for new traffic signals in sector F-7 and Rs2.789 million had been allocated for the maintenance of traffic signals in Chak Shahzad area.

The CDA allocated Rs1.8 million for upgradation of traffic signals in Garden Avenue and Rs0.685 million for new traffic signals to be installed at Nazimuddin Road, F-7/1.
