SAHIWAL, Jan 13: Thirteen people, including three women, were injured when two rival groups clashed after a row between their children in Kot Khadim Ali Shah late on Saturday.

Saleem, Ali Raza, Imran, Naveed Anjum, Waseem Anjum, Sarfraz, Abid Shakoor, Asad, Imran Ali, Khalid, Zubaida, Tasneem and Shamim were injured in the clash between Saleem and Waseem groups. The rivals attacked each other with knives and daggers.

The injured from both groups were taken to the district hospital where they exchanged fire.

As a result, panic gripped the hospital and doctors and nurses stopped work in protest.

Seven Rangers troops, who were brought to the hospital a day ago after they were injured in a road accident, fled the ward to protect themselves.
