KARACHI, Dec 7: Nine ships carrying palm oil, containers and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Aruis to unload and load containers, Al-Rabab to offload and load general cargo, Jo Sycamore, Classy Victoria and Chem Bothnia, tankers.

Four ships, Hyundai Stride, Aruis, Golden Arrow-2 and Captain Rashad departed on Friday, while Chem Bothnia, St. Irene, Eric G. Gibson and Al-Rahab are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity on the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.108m tons comprising 41,173 tons of export tonnage including 3,818 tons of rice, 6,610 tons of cement and 3,144 tons of clinkers and 66,758 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Gemini with 15,000 tons of palm oil, Lucky Arrow to load 11,400 tons of cement, Bunga Delima, Kapitan Byankin, Soon Fu, Ever Gentle, Oel Strength, Jita Bhum and Hansa Century with containers.
