QUETTA, Dec 3: Six students of a seminary near Qila Saifullah were killed and four others injured in a bomb blast on Monday.
The management of the Jamia Imdadul Alum Mullah Bakhtair Adda suspects that an Afghan national who had stayed in the seminary overnight might have a hand in the explosion.
According to sources, the explosive device had been planted in a room of the seminary. Abdur Rauf, Abdul Malik, Mohammad Asif, Abdul Jaffar, Hafiz Abdul Aziz and Rafiullah were killed and Musa Jan, Mohammad Umar, Mohammad Alam and Khairullah were injured at taken to the Qila Saifullah Civil Hospital.
Qila Saifullah police said three seriously wounded students had been taken to the Bolan Medical Complex in Quetta.
Police sources quoted the seminary’s management as saying that an Afghan national had requested permission to spend Sunday night there and left early in the morning.
Reuters adds: The seminary’s principal had been taken into custody for interrogation, a police official said.
