HYDERABAD: Housing schemes

Published November 29, 2007

HYDERABAD, Nov 28: The Department of Town Planning on Wednesday declared two more private housing schemes of Shikarpur district as illegal and advised people not to book plots in the illegal schemes.

In a press statement, the director of the department, Tahir Ahmed, said that a survey showed that Aliabad Colony and Shaheed Ali Bux Soomro Colony in Shikarpur were being constructed without getting any approval from the department.

He said that notices had been issued to the sponsors of the illegal housing schemes asking them to close booking offices and stop advertising the schemes.

He cautioned people against booking any plots in the schemes and warned if they did go ahead with making any deals on the plots they would be doing it at their own risk and the department would not be responsible.
