Blasts hit Balochistan towns

QUETTA, Nov 23: Power supply was suspended to Maiwand and other areas of Kohlu district on Friday after four pylons were blown up in the area.

Five explosions took place in different areas of the province.

Rockets were fired in Sakran and Wadh areas and hand-grenades were hurled in houses in Quetta and Khuzdar.

Some people had planted explosive devices under four pylons of the power transmission line to Maiwand and other areas of Kohlu district, which exploded disrupting power supply to a vast area.

In another incident, militants also blasted a power pylon in Sibi but power supply to Tali was not affected.

Another blast took place near the Sibi stadium slightly damaging a wall.

A powerful blast was reported from Mastung. It took place near the National Bank, smashing windowpanes of the building and nearby houses.

In Hub, two rockets were fired on the Attock Cement plant near Sakran area. The rockets exploded near the rest-house of the plant.

A rocket was also fired on the FC Fort near Wadh.
