Mobile TV projects

MADRID, Nov 16: Spanish infrastructure and telecoms conglomerate Abertis said on Friday it had reached an agreement with the Chinese government to develop mobile television projects.

The agreement was signed on Thursday in Beijing between the head of Albertis’ telecoms arm, Tobias Martines, and the president of China’s state-owned scientific research centre ABS, Ma Ju, the company said in a statement. Barcelona-based Abertis posted a net profit of 559m euros (@819m) during the first nine months of 2007, a 22.4 per cent increase over the previous year.—AFP
