HARIPUR, Nov 3: Supreme Court Bar Association vice-president Saeed Akhtar Khan has said that country is passing through a crucial phase and the situation requires pragmatic approach on the part of rulers.

He was speaking at a function held in his honour here on Friday.

Mr Khan said that current political situation and terror activities in various parts of the country called for a more proactive role on the part of civil society, media and lawyer community.

Dr Hassnain Raza also spoke on the occasion.

Former NWFP chief minister Pir Sabir Shah, former NWFP Assembly speaker Habibullah Khan, former MPA Qazi

Asad Khan and former provincial minister Sardar Mushtaq Khan were present on the occasion.
