KARACHI, Oct 31: The Sindh chapter of the Awami National Party (ANP) has invited applications for party tickets from aspirants of national and provincial assembly seats in the upcoming general elections.

The applicants have been advised to submit their applications by Nov 20.

ANP leader Shahi Syed, addressing a meeting of the ANP parliamentary board here on Wednesday, said application forms were available at the party’s secretariat, Bacha Khan Markaz.

The meeting decided to fix a non-refundable fee of Rs5,000 for a general seat and Rs10,000 for a reserved seat to be deposited by the applicants with the form.

Earlier, Shahi Syed and Farooq Bangash were elected as chairman and secretary, respectively, of the board.

He told the meeting that the party would field its own candidates in Pakhtun-dominated constituencies this time because political and religious parties after getting their candidates elected under seat adjustment had never paid attention to the Pakhtun population’s grievances.
