LAKKI MARWAT, Oct 29: Secret agencies are creating misunderstanding and rift between Mujahideen and leaders of religious parties at the behest of America to harm the unity of Muslims.
This was said by JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman while addressing public meetings in Paharkhel Thall and Lakki city on Sunday evening.
“The conspiracies hatched by the secret agencies are aimed to weaken the religious parties and restrict the role of their leaders in the country’s politics,” said the maulana.
He said that the JUI would make all out efforts to foil designs of rulers against religious leaders and seminaries.
He said that Ummah was passing through a critical time as the policies of United States had endangered peace in the Muslim world.
“Military operation and use of force cannot produce a solution to the problem rather these steps are the main reasons for growing confrontation across the world,” he said, adding that rulers should follow the path of dialogue to pacify the aggravating situation in Swat and Waziristan.
He claimed that army and law-enforcement agencies could not dare to launch any operation in Swat during the MMA rule in the province.
“As soon as the MMA government in the NWFP ended, the rulers ordered operation in Swat,” he added.
He said the MMA-led government had established the writ of law during its five-year tenure despite insufficient resources.
“The MMA government preferred talks instead of using force,” he said, adding that troop involvement in operations against their own countrymen was not a good omen for the integrity of the country.
He urged the rulers to change their policies and restore democracy in the country.
