Ticket holders in tangle at Multan

By Our Sports Reporter

MULTAN, Oct 26: Thousands of spectators thronged the Multan Cricket Stadium to watch Pakistan and South Africa in action in the fourth One-day International, expecting to see the hosts taking an unbeatable 3-1 lead on Friday.

However, a lot of mess was witnessed at the scene since the local administration had allowed the spectators, not having match tickets, in and around the stadium that had already been crowded with people and their vehicles.

Consequently, those who had bought the match tickets faced great difficulty even to enter the arena, resulting in traffic jam, creating problems for the ticket holders.

Moreover, Friday despite being a half-day in the offices and the match, to start at 1.30pm, the local administration had announced the day as a holiday.
