Top investigator removed
Deputy Inspector-General CID Saud Ahmed Mirza was notified as head of the special investigation team tasked to probe the Oct 18 midnight blasts. The notification was issued on Wednesday night.
He replaces DIG Manzoor Mughal, who had voluntarily disassociated himself from the investigation following the lack of confidence shown in him by the Pakistan People’s Party.
