HYDERABAD: Hesco plans one-hour loadshedding

Bureau Report

HYDERABAD, Oct 24: Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) has chalked out a load management schedule due to the shortage of power generation in the country which will be enforced from Oct 28.

A spokesman of the company in a statement issued here on Wednesday said that as per schedule, power supply will remain suspended for one hour daily from different feeders of all the operation circles. He appealed to all the power consumers to cooperate with the company to ensure smooth enforcement of the load-management schedule.

He said during peak the hours, from 6pm to 10pm, the consumers should switch off electricity voluntarily which is not necessary to conserve power.

He, however, said that in case the power supply remained suspended in any area for more than one hour, then the consumers must register complaint on telephone No. 022-9260511 or inform the local SDO office.

He said strict instructions have been issued to all the company SDOs to suspend power supply for only an hour.

LATE COMERS: Taking serious notice of the late comers in the office, the director general HDA, Altaf Memon has appointed a three-member committee which will visit different offices of HDA daily to ensure regular attendance of the employees in their respective offices.

The DG has said that action will be taken against the absentees and late comers under the SLGO.
