High Court disposes of petition

By Our Correspondent

QUETTA, Oct 23: A division bench of the Balochistan High Court on Tuesday disposed of a petition filed by Sher Mohammad Rind that police were harassing him by registering false cases, at the behest of his influential brother.

The bench comprising Chief Justice Amanullah Khan Yasinzai and Justice Akhtar Zaman Malghani disposed of the petition after the Bolan DPO submitted a report.

On behalf of the provincial police officer, the DPO filed para-wise comments rejecting the charge that the cases had been filed against him at the behest of federal minister Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind.

The petitioner said he had a land dispute with his brother and the latter was using his influence on police officers in Sindh and Balochistan to register false cases against him. The petitioner said he had been released on bail granted by the SC in the cases registered against him in Sindh.

He requested the court to ask police to provide him details of cases registered in Balochistan.
