Warehouses, mills sealed for hoarding

By Our Correspondent

QUETTA, Oct 23: Police on Tuesday sealed 10 warehouses and six flour mills for hoarding edible items.

During a search operation, a police party found large quantities of wheat, flour, sugar and ghee hoarded in the warehouses and mills.

Deputy Inspector General Police Rehmatullah Naizi told newsmen that the raids were conducted on the orders of the Supreme Court. He said cases had been registered against hoarders.

He said in second phase more raids would be conducted against hoarders in collaboration with the Balochistan food department.
