By Anwarullah Khan

KHAR, Oct 20: A girls school building was blown up near the border in Salarzai tehsil, about 20 kilometres from Bajaur Agency headquarters, on Friday night, officials and witnesses said.

They said that explosives were planted inside the Government Girls’ Primary School, Tangi village, which exploded at midnight, destroying the building.

Political authorities registered a case against unidentified attackers. No group had claimed responsibility for the explosion, a senior official said.

Residents said the explosion rocked the entire area and created panic among the people.
