KARACHI, Oct 9: Three ships to load and offload containers and edible oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, six more ships carrying containers, diesel oil, edible oil, chemicals and general cargo also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Maersk Nebraska, Nedlloyd Asia, Sadwan Island, Spar Emerald, Viscaya, Vema Ocean and Lowlands Sumida, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, fertiliser, seeds, edible oil, furnace oil and coal.

A cargo volume of 0.126m tons comprising 0.103 million tons of import and 0.023 million tons of export tonnage was handled.
